Against Gay Bullying

GAY: according to urbandictionary.com

1. jovial or happy, good-spirited 2. a homosexual male or female 3. often used to describe something stupid or unfortunate. originating from homophobia. quite preferable among many teenage males in order to buff up their "masculinity"
1. "We'll have a gay old time."

2. "You DO know he's gay. Notice his homoerotic pornography collection."

3. "Man, these seats are gay. I can't even see what's going on!"

Notice the examples given.
On number 1, it says, happy; good-spirited. It says a very positive meaning. As one of a few people who has Gay friends, they truly are people with good spirit. For me, no Gay friend on a group is so incomplete. Most gays I know are the life of the party. Cross-dresser or not, it doesn't bother me to share secrets with them. They understand boy topic more than my girlfriends because they, "physically" was a boy too. I prefer to invite my Gay friends during afternoon coffees because we pass the time making okray to people we hate or talk about anything. They understand me better and when I talk to them, I don't feel judged. In other words I'd rather have a lot of gay friends and a few chosen girl friends. Because I super love Gays and support them with whatever advocacy they have, I feel like I was a Gay during my past life. Me and a few of my closest friends and even both my sisters speak Gay-Lingo especially when we are talking about the person in front of us. For me, the world is not a happy place without Gays. I honestly have nothing against gay people.

On example number 2. They are just trying to accept and enjoy life by being true to themselves. PERIOD.

On the 3rd example. They refer to it as a very bad thing. People, we are living in the 20th century already. We didn't stay and live like cave man,we evolved didn't we? We are all living in a world where anything can happen. Being gay is not like a disease that can kill. So why does it have to end up this way? The picture as shown above are Gay teens who took their lives because of bullying. Everyone has imperfections and these teens are brave enough to show what they truly are but they were treated like some kind of abomination or something. These teens are still people with feelings. So what, just because they're gay, they should be treated like dirt? I hate the world for this.

So since I am grieving for these wonderful people, count me in in participating for this cause, the Spirit Day. We are going to wear purple in memory of the recent Gay suicides which will be done on October 20. Why Purple? Well according to a fellow tumblr-ista, purple represents the spirit on the LGBTQ (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender/Queer) flag. For people who understands, please wear purple on again October 20, 2010 to commemorate all lives of these teens due to homophobia.
